Starting tomorrow night the (4-9) Chicago White Sox take on the (10-3) Tampa Bay Rays. The White Sox are still looking to win their first series coming fresh off a sweep compliments of the Cleveland Indians. The Rays are playing like they did in 2008 led by their star power featuring Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena and Ben Zobrist. As Gordon Beckham said, “I’ve said it for a week now. I think we are really pressing. We really want to win so bad that we are almost hindering ourselves in a certain way.” This could not be more clear as the Sox have had the lead in every game except two this year and have only grinded out four wins. Beckham also added,”The talent is here to win,” Beckham said. “Whether or not the Twins or Tigers … maybe they don’t lose a game the rest of the year, you don’t know. I feel we are good enough to win and better than what we’ve been showing.” The Sox will throw out Danks, Buehrle and Peavy and the Rays will counter with Price, Davis and Shields. Tomorrow’s game is scheduled to start at 7:10pm CT.
