FORT MYERS: Former Florida Gulf Coast University pitcher Chris Sale has been called up to the Chicago White Sox.

According to FGCU coach Dave Tollet, Sale was to meet with the team in Detroit on Wednesday.

The White Sox are scheduled to play the Tigers at 7:05 p.m.
