Sox vs. Rangers

Last year’s AL Champs are 2nd in the AL West and are without Josh Hamilton and currently are lead by their big free agent pick up, Adrian Beltre and the Sox will miss leading starter, Alexi Ogando. The Sox were 4-5 vs. the World Series runner-ups and  hope to improve on that this year, starting with this 2 game series

Game 1 –

The opening game of the series has Edwin Jackson and Colby Lewis. Jackson is .500 vs the Rangers going 2-2 with a 3.67 ERA and is 3-4 with a 4.29 ERA on the year. Over his last 3 Jackson is 1-2 with a 3.32 ERA and has struck out 9 and walked 7 over those 3 games. The righty, Lewis, is 1-3 with a 7.59 ERA vs. the Sox in his career and has gone 2-1 with a 2.31 ERA, he features a Low 90’s heater and a low 80’s slider.

Game 2 –

The finale of this brief 2 game series has Lefties facing each other, Matt Harrison and John Danks. Danks has not been good vs. the team that drafted him going 1-3 with a 4.11 ERA. Danks is still looking for his first win this year as he has gone 0-6 this year. Harrison is 3-4 with a 4.35 ERA this year he features a low 90’s fastball and a low 80’s change up.
