NBA Playoffs – Eastern Conference Finals – Game 2:
But then Miami started to put the clamps down on Chicago with their defense. The Bulls were held to just 49 points in the final three quarters of play as Dwyane Wade and LeBron James started to get going with offense that was absent in their Game 1 loss to Chicago.
Udonis Haslem was the spark for Miami — who missed the vast majority of the regular season and playoffs for the Heat. He was the best player off of either bench tonight and helped Miami’s offense and rebounding get going with 13 points and five rebounds.
The Bulls’ Derrick Rose was forced to adjust his shot on multiple occasions upon driving inside and only shot 7-of-23 from the field.
Chicago was a dreadful 3-of-20 from behind the three-point line and did not come up with the rebounds that have given them a nightly edge all season long — Miami out-rebounded the Bulls 45-41 after beating the Heat 45-33 in their Game 1 victory.
Games 3 and 4 will both be played in Miami, Florida. The next game will be Sunday night.
Dwyane Wade had 24 points and nine rebounds.
LeBron James had 29 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
Carlos Boozer had eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals but only had seven points and did not play in the fourth quarter in the Bulls’ Game 2 loss.
