BREAKING: Apple says Steve Jobs has died.

It isn’t often that we report on issues that lie outside the realm of sports but, Steve Jobs of Apple has passed away. Regardless of your preference for PC or Mac, Steve Jobs was a huge influence in the world of technology. Jobs stepped down from his position not too long ago, he must have had an idea that this was coming.

He passed away at the age of 56. Apple released the following statement:

We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.

Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

RIP Steve.
