Hester Wins NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Record 10th Time

After becoming the NFL’s all-time leader in punt return touchdowns (11), Devin Hester has been named the NFC Special Teams player of the Week. Hester passed Eric Metcalf when he rattled off a 69-yard punt return touchdown last Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

That wasn’t the only record Devin Hester broke this week. By being named the NFC Special Teams player of the Week, this is the 10th time he has received the honor, the most ever by a special teams player.

Congratulations to Hester and, let’s hope this isn’t the last time he’s named Special Teams player of the Week. Perhaps he could attempt attaining the honor for his performance this upcoming Monday when the Bears face the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.
