With the Bulls clinching the best record in the Eastern Conference through All-Star weekend, Tom Thibodeau will officially coach the Eastern Conference in the 2012 All-Star Game in Orlando, FL.
When asked about it, the team as a whole were very supportive of Coach Thibs. Kyle Korver said, “It’s great. I just hope he doesn’t play Lu and Derrick 40 minutes.” Coach Thibodeau called being chosen an honor.
The All-Star Game will be played February 26, 2012 in Orlando, FL. You can watch the game, which includes fellow Bulls Derrick Rose and Luol Deng, on TNT.
I’d use the word “coach” loosely. It’s the best players in the NBA: they’re not going to listen to anyone nor play defense.
Still cool, though, that Thibs got the honor.
