Tim Beckman’s strong recruiting class just got even stronger today when linebacker Reggie Spearman committed to Illinois.

Chicago Simeon linebacker Reggie Spearman is rated on Rivals as the #29 in the nation at OLB, and the #12 overall player in the state of Illinois. The 3-star LB is listed at 6’2″ 219 with a 4.65 40-yard dash. He chose the Illini over offers from schools such as Houston, Indiana, and Minnesota.

Spearman makes the 17th commitment for Coach Beckman’s first true recruiting class, and the first LB commitment in the class.
