New Games

-Darksiders II is a game that has gotten quite a bit of publicity. You have more than likely seen the commercial on TV already, but it’s also getting some strong reviews. The PS3 version has a 9.7 user score on Metacritic at the time I’m writing this article. Coming from Metacritic users, that’s impressive. If you don’t know what Darksiders is, think of a darker God of War (yes, that’s possible). You play the game as Death, one of the legendary Four Horsemen, as you try and save humanity from evil. The first Darksiders was a very underrated game and fans were excited there would be a sequel. This looks like a multiplatform series to be reckoned with.

-If you’re a fan of Asian themed games, then Sleeping Dogs is for you. This is an open world game set in Hong Kong, and your character is an undercover cop named Wei Shen. Your role is to take down a crime organization from the inside (since you’re an undercover cop and all). Hand to hand combat (martial arts) plays a big role in the gameplay. You’re also able to use your surroundings to your advantage while in combat. The game boasts a pretty solid cast, with Emma Stone and Lucy Liu. Sleeping Dogs has an 83 Metascore and an 8.6 user score on Metacritic.

Final Fantasy versus XIII is dead.
God of War Saga Collection is coming soon. The game will feature God of War 1, 2, and 3, and both the PSP God of War games.
The $99 Android console, Ouya, is getting backing from some major developers. Square Enix announced Final Fantasy 3 will be a launch title. OnLive will come to the console at launch, bringing tons of current games to the console. Former Infinity Ward maestro Robert Bowling is also backing the console.
Black Ops II will no longer have killstreaks, but will instead have scorestreaks. You no longer get a streak when you get a certain amount of kills, but get it when you hit certain scores.
Dead Space 3 has been given a release date of February 5 2013.
