New Games

-One of the most highly anticipated games of this year was Borderlands 2, and it didn’t disappoint. It garnered rave reviews from both publications and gamers alike. It received Metacritic user ratings of 8.3 and 8.5 on the Xbox 360 and  PS3 respectively, and Metascores of 90/100 and 91/100 for the same consoles. Playing with a group of people is the bread and butter for this game though, if each of you represent a different class. The story is great, the gameplay is familiar for those who played the first, and the cell shading graphics are still unique to the series.

FIFA 13 is always the most popular sports game in the world year in and year out. Its Metascores of 90/100 and 88/100 for the 360 and PS3 are to be expected, but the user rating were somewhat average. The 360 got a 5.5 and the PS3 got a 6.5, with most of the negative reviews complaining about the First Touch Control system saying that the best players like Messi shouldn’t have any trouble controlling the ball on a pass like a lesser player would. The positive reviews praised the FTC though, so you can choose which one to believe yourself.
