Cubs and Sox Win Cactus League Openers Against L.A. Teams

The Chicago Cubs won their game Saturday 11-2 over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Cubs trailed 2-0 early, but bounced back by scoring the game’s last 11 runs. Luis Valbuena and Junior Lake hit home runs for the Cubs. Brett Jackson was 2-for-2 with two triples. Travis Wood recorded the win, even though he gave up the only two Angels runs. The Cubs did not face sluggers Josh Hamilton nor Albert Pujols.

The Chicago White Sox defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 9-0.  Seth Loman and Tyler Flowers each hit home runs for the White Sox. Dylan Axelrod was the victorious pitcher. Hanley Ramirez and Adrian Gonzalez were held without a hit against the Sox. Juan Uribe was 1-for-2 against his former team.
