The Chicago Bears have signed linebacker Darryl Sharpton to a one-year deal according to a press release by the team. To make room for Sharpton, the team terminated the contract of fullback Tony Fiammetta.
Sharpton was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round (102nd overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played his college football at the University of Miami. In his four seasons with the Texans he has recorded 144 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
