The Chicago White Sox have a thing for turning triple plays.
Just a month ago, they turned a triple play at U.S. Cellular Field in a win over the Texas Rangers in April. Now they’ve done it again against another team from Texas in Chicago.
With two men on in the top of the eighth, Todd Frazier fielded a hard hit ground ball as he stepped on third. He then made the throw to Brett Lawrie at second who completed the relay throw to Jose Abreu. It was a classic 5-4-3 triple play:
The two teams had some fun with it on Twitter as well:
sorry. it's something we do to teams from Texas only.

The White Sox are the first team to turn multiple triple plays in a season since the Philadelphia Phillies did it in 2007. The White Sox accomplished the feat in 2006 as well.
