The 22-year-old Puckett is the No. 13 ranked prospect in the Royals farm system and joins a now loaded White Sox farm system which is the best in baseball.
At 32-years-old, Cabrera is hitting .295/.336./.436 with 13 home runs and 56 RBI on his 2017 season. He’s currently in the last year of his three-year deal.
The White Sox will also send cash considerations to Kansas City as part of the deal.
