Chicago Cubs release tentative 2018 schedule

While the Chicago Cubs are still fighting to win the NL Central in 2017, Major League Baseball has released the tentative schedules for the 2018 season.

No matter what happens in 2017, the Cubs will open the 2018 season on the road according to the tentative schedule.

Chicago will open the year with a four-game series in Miami beginning on Thursday March 29th. They will stay on the road for a two-game series in Cincinnati beginning on April 2 and then a four-game series in Milwaukee from April 5-8th.

Their first home series will be against Pittsburgh beginning on April 9th, with the two other games on the 11th and 12th.

Chicago will host AL Central teams for their interleague series in 2018 including the Chicago White Sox (May 11-13), Cleveland Indians (May 22-23), Minnesota Twins (June 29-July 1) and Detroit Tigers (July 3-4).

The Cubs will return to Progressive Field in Cleveland for the first time since winning the 2016 World Series for a two-game set on April 24-25th.

The second Crosstown Series with the White Sox will be at the end of the season from Sept. 21-23.
