VIDEO: Wild 8th inning helps Chicago Cubs complete comeback

It was a wild day at Wrigley Field to say the least.

On a day where the conditions at Wrigley Field were 30 degrees with wind chills at 20 and rain blowing all over, the Cubs fell behind 10-2 after four innings. From there it appeared as if all hope was lost and the Cubs would drop their third-straight game and the fourth overall on this homestand.

But then the eighth inning happened. The Cubs would score 12 unanswered runs, including nine in the eighth inning to come back and beat the Braves 14-10 at Wrigley Field.

For the Cubs, it’s a big win after losing in disappointing fashion in Friday’s series opener. It’s been a rough homestand for the Northsiders who lost the series against Pittsburgh and were on the verge of losing this series against Atlanta.

The finale of the series is Sunday afternoon with first pitch at 1:20 p.m. CST. Conditions are expected to be as bad as they were on Saturday.
