I’m from Northbrook, IL and I currently attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where I cover all of our school’s basketball games. I’m an avid Chicago sports fan and a diehard Chicago Bulls fan. You won’t find a much more dedicated Bulls fan (I endured the Drew Gooden years). Outside of Chicago sports I also love watching Mixed Martial Arts and I'm a huge movie buff.

The CBS Sports Classic in Chicago was one of the most highly anticipated showcases in recent college basketball history—and it didn’t disappoint. The United Center was packed with NBA scouts and GM’s all drooling over the crop of talent spread across North Carolina, Ohio State, UCLA, and most of all, Kentucky. The Savior of the Spartans: Michigan State will live or die by Branden Dawson

Branden Dawson’s junior season didn’t exactly go as planned. Last season, Michigan State got off to an 18-1 start led by the experienced core of Keith Appling, Adreian Payne and Dawson. With the Spartans sitting at No. 3 in the nation, it looked like coach Tom Izzo had himself another title contender. Soon injuries would pile up to the Spartan’s Big 3 and a shift in momentum was in store. Payne missed time ...

The uncovered truth: Wildcats coach Chris Collins’ lost highlight video in it’s 90’s-ness glory

The 90's were a weird time. Something else important happened in the 90's and it's just now beginning to surface. Unless you are Northwestern Wildcats basketball coach Chris Collins, or a Glenbrook North High School ...

The complexity that is Pau Gasol’s twitter handle

Pau Gasol signed a 3-year, $22 million deal with Bulls this summer, and the love fest in Chicago has already commenced. Gasol is the big, seven foot presence the Bulls have been missing for years. Most importantly, Carlos Boozer will be screaming “Gimme Dat!” and “And One!” in another uniform. Gasol is off to a solid start, averaging 10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3 blocks per game in the preseason. He’s a s ...

Three players poised to make “the leap” in the 2014-2015 NBA season

There’s a lot of questions going around about the NBA season this time of the year. Other than predicting an NBA champion, the biggest question mark is—who’s gonna make the leap this year? Last season we saw the likes of Goran Dragic, Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, and Kyle Lowry jump into the NBA forefront. But there was no bigger breakout than from super-duper-star Anthony Davis (as I, and others anticipa ...

This is Part 3 of a three-part series outlining potential targets for the Chicago Bulls this off-season Part 1: Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love Part 2: The Free Agents The NBA draft is just over three weeks away. Chicago Bulls Offseason Preview: The Free Agents

This is Part 2 of a three-part series outlining potential targets for the Chicago Bulls this off-season Part 1: Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love In Part 1, I gave a stern warning. Even though the Chicago Bulls have a legitimate shot at Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love, it’s always smart to have a backup plan. In 2010, the Bulls missed out on the likes of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Joe Johnson (t ...
