I don't think Carmelo will sign a new deal for 2011-12 and beyond, even if he gets traded here next year. My gut says that he has his heart set on being a Knick. He is a New York guy. He is absolutely adored there, and he has a world of endorsements and extra revenue that will flow in if he goes to a place like that- especially considering it is the biggest city in the nation.
Supposedly, even his wife and posse want him to go to the Knicks.
