Just watched his press conference. very exciting guy. will run a spread offense. Not sure what version of the spread. said he'll run the offense "that gave me gray hair while DC in the Big 12."

Rumors swirling of Jon Tenuta to Illinois as DC. Would be another home run hire. Good at Ga Tech and NC State. Not so much at ND though.

Tenuta backs out after he was announced and goes back to NC State so he can watch his son play baseball there.
Officially hired Luke Butkus and snagged one of the best recruiters in the nation away from Vanderbilt, Chris Beatty. Beatty was Percy Harvin's HS football coach. He's put together quite the class at Vandy this year as recruiting coordinator. Vandy also leads for one of the top RB's in the country, Wes Brown. Illinois was recruiting Brown, so I wonder if this hire changes anything. |
