Good article.

Not impressed with the Marion Barber signing though. He seems like he's all used up and on the decline. The Bears have never had much success with FA running backs.

I've been a fan so long that the Marion Barber pickup reeks of so many other Bears FA running back signings from the past:

Bam Morris
Craig "Ironhead" Heyward
Merrill Hoge
Tim Worley
Lewis Tillman
Edgar Bennett
Glyn Milburn
Chester Taylor

Well, his running has been different as of late. More shying away, compared to straight ahead. If he can stay healthy, he's only 28.

this is the type of RB I wanted this offseason, as long as we get some OL help, Im looking forward to seeing a balanced offense. Good read BTW

Whether he's on the decline or not, I think using him as a short yardage/goal-line back will definitely help our chances of converting. Seems we had a big problem doing that last season.

Most of the blame should fall on the O-Line for that.

Barber still has use because he's better than any of the RBs the Bears have at the moment..he can be a servicable carry sharer with Forte...a 3rd down/goal line guy...

of course...it would help alot if the bears solve their O line situation..Forte and Barber wont be a good force on the ground if they dont have a good line protecting them imo

and dustin...what the hell r u doing out of the kitchen?
