Why have so many picked Bowman as a "keeper"?

Dude has been horrible

It's hard to decide who to keep without knowing who we're bringing in. If the Bears bring in another corner then dropping Jennings/Bowman seems sensible, but if we don't address it through FA then maybe we have to hold onto them or one of them until we do address it.

I wish FA was closer, going stir crazy without any Bears action.

We'd be better off dropping Bowman and drafting a CB. Any cap money going towards extending him would be wasted cap money. A rookie can make the same impact that Bowman can since he lost his starting job to Jennings.

Personally I'd like to get rid of him, just saying until we know what we're doing it's hard to speculate for some positions. I hope the new GM would recognize we need a corner to develop. Tillman can't hold it down forever.

i sure hope to hell that we let both of them walk (Bowman & Jennings) and draft a CB along with picking up a top tier FA this offseason.

Okay, i wouldn't mind retaining Jennings. But he really needs to learn how to catch a damn pass.

Sounds like a plan to me. Who would you want them to target via FA?

Cortland Finnegan is tops on my list, although I could live with Aaron Ross.

I completely forgot about Finnegan. I don't really like him as a person but he's a good corner, real feisty. Him and Tillman would be a great combo, with Moore at nickel.
