It would be sick to see Howard on our team but I really dont see Orlando trading him. We could give them a good deal imo but who knows if they would actually accept it.

Regarding giving Orlando something they would accept. Part of what's driving this is Howard. Its kind of the same scenario as Denver and Carmelo Anthony. I can see Howard wanting to either come to Chicago or LA, to be perfectly honest with you. On one hand, Howard could be the man in LA after Kobe retires. But on the other hand, he could win more titles playing with Rose who's 22. Both teams have a productive post player to offer. LA can offer Gasol and Chicago can offer both Boozer and Asik. Chicago also has draft picks. Chicago not being fleeced by Denver, has set a precedent for Orlando in terms of asking for something over the top. Chicago is in a position to reasonaly make them whole and then some though. Last edited by Lex L.; 04-22-2011 at 11:23 PM. |

Well lets be honest too. Howard is a bit of a knucklehead while Horford is anything but. Id rather have Howard if we can get him without gutting our roster (meaning Id give up something along the lines of what Ive previously mentioned), but Horford also has a lot of appeal. As you said, he can play, plus he might fit in better with the team. With Howard, you'd always have to worry about him popping off in some way thats contrary to the makeup of the team.

Wow, all of this talk is making me realize the importance of beating Atlanta if we face them in the 2nd round. It would be nice to make Horford want to go to a better situation than what he has and beating them in a meaningful series can kind of create that perception. There are other factors in play too though.
