i dont think this point really helps you regarding hamilton because as you suggested he'll be guarding wade

exactly

He was putting the clamps down on him.
valid point..the question is can he stay healthy along with how can he help the offense

i dont think rip is a bad defender by any stretch...he's not nearly as quick as he used to be though

also rip will continue to deteriorate regarding his physical tools..meaning he will become more experienced..but less able..while redick is 27

i meant wade, not bosh my bad

i know that has alot to do with it, thats why i showed the % from last year...i think saying that every team struggles outside against the heat is a little hyperbolic...and the importance of the 3 point shooting is not simply shooting the 3 ball itself but the defensive reaction

A large part of the reason Dallas was able to hurt Miami with the three is because they had four guys on the court who can shoot three's and create off of the dribble at the same time. The Bulls, last year, had one play-maker off the dribble and marginal standing-three-point shooters. That isn't the Bulls' style nor, in my opinion, should it be to shoot a lot of three's- especially against Miami who has great wing rebounding (Wade/James/Battier).
right....because they arent great 3 point shooters

i never suggested the bulls shoot alot of 3s either...the 3 point shooting threat is more important for the defensive reaction...meaning the defense spreads out...again thats important when you have alot of your offense coming close to the lane with rose penetrating..boozer and noah inside....i dont expect that the bulls would be chuckers..

redick is capable of being a double digit scorer though

he's not really a threat though..he's only taken 19 and made 6 this year...does that help the argument against his % by sample size...yes but it also shows he's not a guy that wont space the floor as much as a more prolific and more accurate 3 point shooter

redick isnt that bad with the ball in his hands....though he's more of an off screen guy...he only averages 1.2 TOs per game..while rip averages 2.1 TOs..there are other factors involved certainly..but

A.i dont think you'd expect redick to put the ball on the floor every possession..and i dont think you'd need to
B.redick isnt terribly careless with the ball in situations that you'd need him to put it on the floor

i think thats a little extreme...korver has been playing better recently..still really confined dimensionally..but as i said early he was the only one that could hit 3s against miami a couple of days ago

well..i dont actually like the trade myself that much...mostly because you give up deng

i was joking a little but the idea long term wouldnt be bad imo

average is subjective...but i suppose so...hamilton is pretty average too...

he doesnt have a great handle..but he can handle the ball

really effective off screens

undersized isnt a big issue unless it takes away from defense...and redick is a decent defender

korver is more one dimensional and not as good an overall scorer

more than 70% of korver shot's are three..while only 36% are 3s are redick(thats a pretty decent size % but not nearly the same as korvers)

sample size? yeah...but korver is still easily more one dimensional

although i know thats not really the point of the comparison..i think redick is a little different than korver

redick is a smart player too

anyway, the biggest advantages in trading for redick is spacing the floor with 3 point shooting and age imo
