Only weakness in Kobe's game is that he is extremely selfish sometimes.

According to those who know him and work with him...he is one of the most competitive people in NBA history. And I think its the other way around...Kobe's competitiveness is mistaken for cockiness.

I guess I don't understand the "cockiness" and the "entitlement" stuff you label Kobe...and how is that different from Jordan?

I guess I could see an entitled Kobe in how he acted in running Shaq out of town. But, I definitely see a firey Kobe on and off the court. I see a man who wants to win and won't be satisified with only 5 titles.

Well, I never saw Jordan sit at a press conference down 0-2 or 0-3 in a series and sit there with a smile on his face saying that everybody was overreacting to the situation at hand. You may have a point about both Jordan and Bryant being cocky and competitive but I feel as though Jordan had the better mentality in gloomy situations and wouldn't put up with his teammates clowning around like Bryant did last year (namely Odom and Artest).

What I'm getting at is when it comes to leadership... not even close. Jordan was the better leader. Emotionally and on the court. By example and by putting a boot in someone's ass. Jordan was a psychopath in ways I don't see with Kobe.

Kobe is considered one of the most surly athletes to the media there is. He is criticized for taking the game too seriously if anything. But I think that is nitpicking. And because Kobe doesn't open chastise players doesn't mean he condones their actions.

Then you haven't been paying attention because that is Kobe's reputation. Why do you think Bird said what he said about Kobe recently?
