Has anyone seen that Joe Johnson is suddenly open to NYK?

OK, it seems like theres a lot going on behind the scenes. His agent has had a good rapport with R'dorf in the past and it seems like they were trying to use that to get a committment out of the Bulls. A while back you heard that JJ has an aversion to playing in NYK because there's too much of a spotlight. And then youve been hearing that he's been willing to commit to Chicago early.

Then Chicago clears up cap space and suddenly, word has come out about Joe Johnson going to NYK.

Is it just me or does it seem like, JJ's agent was pushing to get him to Chicago and Chicago wouldnt give them a commitment because they have their eyes on something else...and so, subsequently, does it not seem like his agent is putting stuff out there about going to the Knicks?

It seems theres a lot going on behind the scenes.

This is what it seems like.

Wade- Miami
James- Chicago...outside chance of Cleveland
Bosh- recruited by James and Wade and caught in the middle but is targeted by both Miami and Chicago
Joe Johnson- Wants to go to Chicago but is in a holding pattern because Chicago is going after James and Bosh...and so they cant commit.

NYK is his first choice now. Because Chicago is not going after him, that would be my guess, I mean Chicago will go after him if they fall in there pursuit for Bron or Bosh.

i think he knows that chi has bosh and bron in mind more than him

this is why i think jj has cooled off on chi

and is open to NYK because they really want JJ

i thought from the start they would get JJ

Joe Johnson knows that he is behind James and Bosh in the F.A market. He really needs to chill and see where those two land before ruining his career by going to the Knicks, hell if I were him I would take a pay cut in order to get on a winning team. It should also be about winning right?

Im not so sure he still wouldnt rather go to Chicago, but I think this is put out there as a gentle nudge to our FO not to take him for granted...like we have him in our hip pocket.

Personally, its not THAT crushing if he signs with NYK. We really need an outside shooter but can find them cheaper.

There is just so much talk going on behind the scenes that we dont know about.

All i know is that theres 1 obvious destination to win. We know it, GMs know it, analysts know it, the players know it. Waiting this one out is going to be tough. I feel like Cartman in that episode where he freezes himself because he didnt want to wait 2 weeks for the Wii to come out...Except im not fat.

if chi does get bron and bosh or heck just one of the two...i wouldnt worry about getting jj

He probably knows he can get a max contract from NYK and probably not by the Bulls and other teams.
