i really really hope they're using him as a piece to trade around the deadline. we trade you our nonguaranteed player, you give us back an nba player.

Sadly, with all the trade exceptions and teams under the cap, i doubt we'll be so lucky.

maybe scalabrine is brought in to be lindsey hunter. a coach on the bench, that we really really hope doesn't play. they had similiar shooting % and athleticism

As I noted, Scalabrine knows the defensive scheme and possibly the offensive one if TT runs something like Rivers. In that case, he can act as a coach on the floor in training camp and provide some value.
