Fukudome is going to be a huge favorite of the fans of whatever team signs him next yera for the first 30 or so days of the season. Fukudome's April slash line remains at .345/.454/.526. I've never seen a guy who is Ted Williams in April but forgets how to hit once it turns to May 1st. Actually he might get off to a good start in Cleveland because August is his second best month with .275/.379/.455, but watch how the talk about Fukudome will be different next year when he gets off to a great start with whatever team he ends up with.

lol if we'd have traded him in april we probably would have gotten a bit more out of that trade

Unforunately I am going to guess all baseball GMs know that trend and no one makes trades on May 1st. But it is something that I've never being able to explain how in his fourth season he still dominates April and then sucks the rest of the year.
