Update:

CoorsGo: .331
Votto: .323
Castro: .319
Prado: .316
Pujols: .311

Looks like he has some breathing room over Prado and Pujols, but not much. He also appears to be narrowing in on Votto and 2nd place. But then he'll have to go after CarGo.

I know, I was just wondering if we'd have another exciting rookie next year.

So theoretically he would be leading if he played for the Rox.
Yea but this is all bogus thinking. This is just as bad as thinking "Wow, if they had called that 2nd pitch a strike, to make it 1-1, this guy would have been K'ed out by now!". Not everything happens the same way in different situations.

Agree, you can't use theoretical thinking in baseball as far as stats are concerned.

You are very right.

Hence the word theoretical.

It's a fact players hit better in Coors.

It's not a fact Castro would do better. He could very well only hit 200. He could also hit 400.

And he very well could do that and Wrigley or Great American. It's just a matter of hitting with the field, not against it. You know, adjusting to hit the way the field best permits.

Granted I am about eight beers deep, but you seem to be missing the point of park factors.

No, I do know that it is better to hit in some parks than others. But these are Major League players and we have to stick with reality. If the Cubs want a better hitter's park, they can just make one and sell Wrigley as a landmark.

I just really don't want to think about theoretical points. I just wan to watch this race take shape and end, preferably with Castro on top). Just enjoy this race.

Anyway, Castro's batting .321 now.

Agreed, actually had a lot of this typed out until I saw your post.

Technically, I think he was meaning that Coors is much more of a hitters park than Wrigley...and Wrigley I believe was considered neither a pitchers park nor a hitters park this year (home run help = 0)...and if the home run help is considered nil due to the wind in a small park, it would technically be considered a hitters park...though slightly.

Either way, I think some of you wanted to jump on waldo b/c it's what happens here. He had a valid point here, several of you agreed...then called him a moron anyway.
