I am just saying certain free agents will not come to the Cubs because of the facilities.

Well after the renovate the Stadium I will stop complaining if it turns out nicely, until then Wrigley is just the shit hole I have to sit in to watch the Cross Town Classic once a year.
You are obviously forgetting Rafael Palmeiro also. You know the guy who hit 500 home runs. Always an interesting debate.. Which would have been better for us to keep.. Grace or Rafy?

Id like to say.. Since you also managed to forget the Cubs pitchers that have been developed through the system in the last 30 years.

Theres been a 300+ game winner, a 20 strikeout pitcher, a pitcher who's thrown a no hitter.

Plus several other all star pitchers.

The Cubs are a prime destination. Get your trolling ways out of here.

You're clearly a moron Cubs homer. Palmeiro hit less than 30 HRs with the Cubs... not a successful Farm product with the Cubs... successful with other teams yes.

Also there is a reason I said position players you fuck... I did not say they did not develop good pitchers.

How is developing a guy who hit 500 home runs not a successful product?

We either had to choose between him or Grace.

They let him go. I'd say thats good for our scouting department at the time.

------------

You just somehow managed to leave that out.. I'll give you we don't have a ton of all star caliber position players brought through the system. The Cubs have had a bunch that were decent.

The pitchers over the last 30 years I would put up against any team any time.

Who would have thought a Cubs fan would try and make a bright spot in what has been many years of failure. You missed my point completely.

Im not saying there isn't many years of failure and bad management..

You're just trying to one way the argument to your side.. I've got some leverage though.

I'll get back on the actual topic.

What would I like to change at Wrigley?

Obviously the noodle can go..

Stuff like the Toyota sign is really okay.. I don't want them to go overboard but maybe stuff like that can increase revenue.

Stuff like the "citi" sign is fine.. Id be okay if they were to put one up on the wall on the visitors dugout side.

The interior walkways of the park need a total and complete overhaul.

I'd love for them to find someway of reducing the poles.. There's gotta be a way of doing that.

Otherwise its a great place to watch a game. Not many places you can say that players from Babe Ruth to Willie Mays to Hank Aaron to Albert Pujols have played.

What are you using as standards for this? I'd love to know.

What Ricketts really needs to do to bring the stadium's revenue on-par with the rest of the league are things he simply cannot do, or would at the very least have significant trouble doing. They had to jump through hoops with city zoning committees to put up that simple Toyota sign for this season, and they simply can't add private boxes/suites to the level that other "mallparks" currently have without completely re-structuring the stadium. And the scoreboard? Forget about it. I can only imagine the cries from meatball Cubs fans should the team openly discuss going modern. That stays untouched until Ricketts sacks up, gives the City the finger and builds the team a real stadium somewhere else.
You should know that this will never happen, there would be way too much public outlash and there's no amount of PR that could make a new stadium in a different place sound good in any way.

Using Toews and Keith in a debate to defend Stalberg....priceless.

I'd rather have the time of my life losing than have the shittiest time with a bunch of douche bags and win... once.
