Report: Phillies, Jim Thome agree on one-year contract

Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports that the Phillies and Jim Thome have agreed on a one-year contract, pending a physical. Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com was told by a source that the veteran slugger will receive $1.25 million.

Latest rumor is that they're going after Jose Reyes and a deal is imminent. Marlins have a protected first round pick and if Reyes signs before 11/23, they'll give up their second rounder to the Mets regardless.
