SUMMARY: Bascially, what this is, is a EASHL franchise type of thread. I run a team called the Chicago Inferno, where we have 32 game seasons we play against other EASHL teams. We must win 18 of those 32 games to make playoffs. If we don't we miss playoffs, and move onto the next season. If we do make playoffs, we must win 4/4 games to win the championship.
Our players all have contracts, personalities, and all the likes of a real NHL player. We have player scenes to have some fun and show you guys what goes on off the ice for our team, interviews, etc. We've been running this franchise since late NHL 09, and are very excited to move onto NHL 11 with it as well. If you'd like to check out previous seasons, there are links lower in this post. Please enjoy, and let us know what you think. ![]() Burning Up The Competition:Chicago Inferno ![]() The Inferno's past makes the future look promising Chicago, IL- The Chicago Inferno, after starting off their franchise in a terrible manner, have managed to barely slip into the playoffs the first two seasons. After the second season finale, the Inferno got bad news when defensivemen and Captain Jordan Charles announced his retirement and left wing Kerin Mitchell became a free agent. Possibly, that was the change the Inferno needed as they went and signed defensivemen Tony Lanteri, who helped the team cruise to a 23-9-0 record. After that, they starting heating up and winning nearly two thirds of their games, and at some points were nearly unbeatable. The 23-9-0 season was their best, as they got to a great start, and cooled off later in the season. The Inferno still, could not take home the hardware as they lost in the UHL Championship. As the next season draws near, the Inferno hope to finally take home the UHL Championship, and get the Inferno fans what they want. Last season, however, was one to remember, as the Inferno finally headed to the promise land, after a great regular season. They got buckled in when it came time for the playoffs, and would eventually make the championship. In the biggest game of their lives, Chad Fellers and the Inferno would win 3-2. Fellers netted all three goals, and the city of Chicago celebrated in mass. Now, the Inferno look to continue to build this team into one of the elite in the world, as they prepare for NHL 11 and Burning Up The Competition. The Breakdown: Games: 32 Playoff Elgibility: 36 points Win: 2 points Loss: 0 points OT Loss: 1 point Playoff Scenario: -single elimination -you reach the championship by going 3-0 in your first games -your fourth victory is the championship Past Seasons: Burning Up The Competition: Chicago Inferno | An EASHL Franchise - = SEASONS 1-3 Chicago Inferno Hockey (EASHL Franchise) = SEASON 4

![]() --Player Bios and Roster-- ![]() Chad Fellers and Eric Follman are the two captains of the squad this season ![]() Chad Fellers | Pos: C | Age: 28 | Num: 34 | Player Type: Ticket Seller (Captain) Before- Chad Fellers is one hell of a character. Hes the Manny Ramirez of the UHL. Hated by some, but loved by many. Heres a guy who can back up his talk if he has to, and will definantly fill some seats for the Inferno. Hes one of the best on the team, and his stats back it up. He made the All-American high school team in Chicago Illinois, and is locally recruited onto the Inferno. Sometimes his actions off the ice might hurt the team, but with a guy this good, you can't help but sign him. Now- Going back four years, the Inferno were once questionable about how Chad Fellers' future would wind up on the Inferno. It turned out to be a great signing by the Inferno as Fellers lead the UHL in points in season three, while the Inferno cruised to a 23-9-0 record before losing in the Championship game. Fellers has since than been promoted to captain, and has been featured on the cover of magazines such as ESPN and Fitness Monthly. CONTRACT: 7 YEARS, 100 MILLION CAREER STATS: 185 GOALS, 158 ASSISTS, 343 POINTS Kerin Mitchell | Pos: RW | Age: 30 | Num: 21 | Player Type: Locker Room Leader Before- Kerin Mitchell is known as the locker room leader of the Chicago Inferno. He is a former Inferno player, played with the team for the first two seasons, and ran into financial trouble. CONTRACT: 1 YEAR, 4.5 MILLION CAREER STATS: 11 GOALS, 22 ASSISTS, 33 POINTS Eric Follman | Pos: LW | Age: 26 | Num: 5 | Player Type: Franchise Player (Assistant Captain) Before- Eric Follman is the future of the Inferno. Just graduated from high school, as one of the best in the nation. Hes a more quiet guy off the ice, but will get loud if he has to. Like Chad Fellers, hes locally recruited onto the Inferno. This guys slap shot has the power to make a goalie stop in his tracks. Defensiveman quiver when he has an open shot. Did we mention, hes only 19? Now- Eric Follman came into the United Hockey League a franchise player Left Wing, transformed his game into a defensive weapon, and now, will return back to his origin, at left wing. Follman, only twenty three looks to continue playing as an Inferno player for years to come. CONTRACT: 6 YEARS, 80 MILLION CAREER STATS: 95 GOALS, 144 ASSISTS, 240 POINTS Jordan Charles Jr. | Pos: LD | Age: 25 | Num: 26 | Player Type: Featured Face Now- As you all may know, this familiar name comes with great pride. His father and now retired Chicago Inferno defensivemen Jordan Charles had a couple great seasons in Chicago, and is overwhelmingly happy with how his son's career has turned out so far. So far, is the keyword. Jordan Charles Jr. grew up playing in the affiliate Quad City Blaze of the Inferno, and has finally gotten his call to play with the big boys. Jordan will play defense like his father, and is expected to be in Chicago for a long time to come. CONTRACT: 1 YEAR, 3 MILLION CAREER STATS: 24 GOALS, 58 ASSISTS, 82 POINTS Jon Tait | Pos: LD | Age: 29 | Num: 32 | Player Type: Strong Silent Type Before- Jon Tait, formerly known as Jon Boyle, comes from a small country family, and was raised on a farm, and played LaCrosse, eventually got signed to the Inferno on a 3 year deal, to play defense. Reportedly as the story goes, after getting a pair of rollerblades for christmas, Jermaine took two of his mothers steak knives and super glued/taped them onto the bottom of the roller blades. He would than head to the local pond, and play with his friends. The rest is history. He wears number zero to comemorate his "rags to riches" story. CONTRACT: 2 YEARS, 6 MILLION CAREER STATS: 0 GOALS, 0 ASSISTS, 0 POINTS Alonza Jones | Pos: LD | Age: 23 | Num: 56 | Player Type: Converted Football Player Before- Alonza Jones, comes from the city of Atlanta Georgia. Croom was in Iraq for the past two seasons, and he calls it a "life changing experience". Now- Back for another run, Michael Croom will look to lead the team defensively, with his defensive d-man style of play. The Inferno look forward to the future with this Veteran, big man defensive men. ![]() --Victoria Hill Buys Chicago Inferno-- ![]() Victoria Hill is the new owner of the Chicago Inferno Chicago,IL (AP) - It is being reported this morning, that the Inferno have been boughten out. Old owner, the Chicago Tribune, has sold the company to Victoria Hill, who will take over duties for who comes in, and out of the team. Victoria, a former stripper from Las Vegas, has changed her life around after winning the lottery in late 2007. Right after winning, she invested it into the Seattle Supersonics, in the NBA, who would later move to Oklahoma City. Victoria has a bad reputation in the sports business, but the Inferno couldn't refuse all the money she offered, and as of now, the team will be directed in a way, they hope, will be good. "I'm not too excited, due to what I've heard around the sports business about this woman, but hopefully she wants to keep us here, and playing good," said captain Chad Fellers about their new owner.

![]() Inferno Reverting Back To Old School With Position Changes And Signings ![]() Michael Croom's return will most likely be seen in season five, as it's being reported the Inferno have signed Croom to a two year deal worth 8 million dollars Chicago, IL- Chicago Inferno fans have plenty to be excited about currently. The team is coming off their first ever UHL Championship, winning 3-2, with Chad Fellers winning MVP of the Championship game, after scoring all three Inferno goals. It's a new season now, however, as the Inferno got rid of two expiring contracts in Colt Hughes (xFTFx iWHITEY) and Dana Fitzgerald (Sik On Th3 Stix). As always, with players leaving, new players will come in. This year, it seems more like old players will come in. It has been reported that the Inferno have potentially signed former Chicago Inferno player and fan favorite Michael Croom to a two year contract worth just over 8 million. Croom was one of the bigger fan favorites in Inferno history, as he played defense for Chicago during their first two seasons as a franchise. Once NHL 10 dropped, Michael Croom found himself caught up in the services, as he would go on to spend two years in Iraq, serving his country. He is back now, and ready to hit the ice once again. Croom will hopefully fill the right defense position, which will move Jordan Charles Jr. to left defense, and Eric Follman to offense, to play aside Chad Fellers, at left wing. "I'm really excited about this potential signing," said Eric Follman. "Croom always gave me a buncha crap, but deep down we're really good friends. I'm sure Chad [Fellers] and coach [Jordan Charles] are really happy as well. I just hope it all works out." Just after that big reporting, more big news came in from overseas. Former Inferno right wing, Kerin Mitchell, and another fan favorite, could possibly be returning to Chicago again. Kerin Mitchell has been going through a big depression, financially and mentally, but the locker room leader hopefully will come back to the Inferno, for a big reunion, placing all five of the original Inferno players somewhere in the Orginization. Whether it be coach or player. More news will be reported in the future on Kerin Mitchell. If Mitchell doesn't sign the Inferno have expressed interest in bringing back Colt Hughes for a one year contract, or recruiting and finding another player to fill the role.

![]() --Inferno Exclusive Interview With New Owner Victoria Hill-- ![]() Stuart Scott from ESPN interviews new Chicago Inferno owner Victoria Hill in this exclusive sit down interview ESPN: Hey Victoria, how are you doing? Victoria Hill: *emotion-less* I'm fine. ESPN: So, why the Chicago Inferno? Of all the teams, why did you throw your money at this team? Victoria Hill: Well, I'm originally from Las Vegas, and as you know, Vegas is still looking for a UHL team, and I thought this would be a great fit. I mean, who wants to play in this dirty city anyway? ESPN: *short pause* What about the fans? There are almost half a million Chicago Inferno fans just in this city alone? What about them? Victoria Hill: Ahh, they'll get over it. Time heals everything, as you know. ESPN: How do you feel about your team this season? Do you see them defending the UHL Championship, in this, the fifth anniversarry of the Chicago Inferno? Victoria Hill: Not under my power I don't. *laughs* ESPN: How do you think the new position changes will work out. Like Eric Follman moving to Left Wing? Victoria Hill: I don't know Stuart. We'll let Jordan Charles Jr. take care of that. I don't handle any of the player management. Frankly, I don't care or am not interested in lineups, or player movement. ESPN: Well, Victoria, thanks for coming in. *pauses* Good luck in the future. Victoria Hill: *standing up* Finally, now I can get out here.

![]() (Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, Before Teams First Practice) *It's getting to that time of the year when all the players off season's at home are ending, and they are reporting back to Chicago for camp. After last seasons championship win, fans are packed outside of Inferno Arena, waiting for the team bus to arrive to show their thanks once again after a great last season. The bus eventually pulls up, and the players start getting off one by one. The Inferno aren't a complete team just yet, as they are missing one position, at right wing. Many think Kerin Mitchell will fit that role in the future however. First off the bus is coach Jordan Charles Sr. The former Inferno player on the ice converted to coach waves at all the fans. They all know how important a good coach is when winning a championship, and they show him love for that. Next is Eric Follman. Follman has turned himself into an experienced UHL player, and one of the few that has been here since the beginning. Follman recieves a great applause, as he is now the assistant captain of the team. Jordan Charles Jr. is next off the bus. Charles Jr., a rookie last season, had a great year defensively, and tallied 23 points in his first season. The last one of the bus, is captain of the team Chad Fellers. Fellers, a man since the beginning, has been the face of the franchise since season two, where he led the UHL in points. Now, he represents the Inferno as the captain, and doesn't do so much off the ice stuff that got him and the team in trouble in the early years.* *After the team is all done recieving their cheers and applause, they all head to the locker room, to recieve a talking to from head coach Jordan Charles Sr. Jordan wants to go over what has gone down in the offseason with the team, in person.* Coach: Alright fellas. Take a seat. First off, congrats once again to all of us on last season. We finally took Chicago to the promise land and delivered the city a UHL Championship, after only three seasons. We here at Chicago, take hockey seriously, and we'd hate to be brought down by anyone. That's what gets me to my next point. This off season. As you may know, the Inferno were bought by Victoria Hill, a woman who has already clearly expressed her interest in moving the team to Las Vegas in the future. For that to happen, we would have to be unsuccessful for the next few years. Eric Follman: You kiddin' us coach? Coach: No, not at all. For her to succeed, she will attempt to shut out every possible way of helping our team succeed. Basically, the little things. Like hot water, great transportation, and good trainers. We will still have to meet the league requirements, but we'll have to tough it out, but I'm sure if we prove to her that we're not moving, she will give up within a few seasons. Chad Fellers: *sighs* This blows. Right after we win a championship, this bitch has to come in here and ruin everything. Why the hell did she even get the team? Coach: She offered the Tribune, our former owner, an amount of money they couldn't refuse. She wants us to move to Las Vegas, but we refuse to just leave this beautiful city. Eric Follman: We have so many great memories here. We can't just....leave. Coach: Exactly. That's why we have to prove to ourselves, and that bitch, that we won't back down. *The guys are all upset. They'll be without things they took for granted, like hot water, a team charter jet, and great food for now. But if they get past it, they know Victoria Hill will hit the road and give up.* Coach: Also, I'd like to address our possible fill ins for the rest of the team. Currently, we're in talks with former Inferno players Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell. Michael Croom is much closer to signing a deal than Kerin Mitchell, but it'd be a great thing for the city if they both returned to their former teams. These are guys, as you know, that I played with my two years in Chicago, and they were both very big fan favorites. Chad Fellers: Ahh this would be great. We've really missed those guys. Coach: Very great. Kerin Mitchell is going through financial problems currently, and he wants to get that all sorted out before committing to the Inferno. Michael Croom, as you guys probably know, was off in Iraq for the past two years fighting for our country, so he might be a bit rusty on the ice, but being the great guy he is, we have to resign him if he wants to lace up the skates again. I'll let you guys know more in the future, but right now, lets lace them up, and hit the ice. We won't be having a full on practice due to positions not all being filled, but we will get some work done. (The team gets all their gear on, and prepares for practice. The guys all can't stop thinking of how awesome it'd be to reunite with Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell after two seasons. For now, it's just a thought, but hopefully in the near future, it'll be a reality.) ![]()

![]() (Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, Before Team Practice) *The Inferno are still in opening camp, waiting for the season to arrive. Chicago only has three guarnteed players on the roster, in Chad Fellers(C), Eric Follman(A), and Jordan Charles Jr. Many think Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell are the other two guys that are expected to suit up in Inferno gear on opening night. The league has announced its rule changes for next season, with only a few interesting notes.* Eric Follman: *excited* You guys hear the new announcement from the league?!?! Jordan Charles Jr: From how excited you are, I'm guessing they've announced a Justin Bieber promotion night? Eric Follman: Good one, Crimsion. But no, they've announced that we can officially, without being fined, do our own celebrations next year. Last year we couldn't do anything too raunchy, otherwise the league would fine us. Remember, Chad, you finished third in the league in total fines. Chad Fellers: *smiles to himself* Yeah, you're right. Jordan Charles Jr: Nice. This means I can plan some cool celebrations before each game. Eric Follman: Yeah, but to do that, you have to score goals. So unless you're doing assist celebrations, good luck. Jordan Charles Jr: *mumbles* fuck off. Eric Follman: *walking up to Chad now* Guess what else they announced? Chad Fellers: *not caring* What? Eric Follman: They announced that we'll be using new sticks, that are much lighter. They can actually break now, unlike those sticks last season. They bastards were practically made of steel. This should be pretty cool though. (The team goes through another average day at Inferno Practice Arena, and head to the hotel afterwards. Soon enough, this practice will pay off, as opening day is only a couple weeks away.) ![]()

![]() Inferno Picking Up Heat; Attempting To Fill Roster As They Sign Two Players ![]() Brandon Ferguson could be starting on the defensive side of the puck come opening night Chicago, IL- After laying low on the roster filling side for a while, newly appointed owner of the Inferno, Victoria Hill has signed two players to the Inferno: LD Brandon Ferguson, and G Ron Marini. Many find one of these signings a bit sketchy. Ron Marini, a man whose life was turnt around after a terrible car crash killing his children, is the current boyfriend of team owner Victoria Hill. Hill claims he "earned the spot", but many think he is just on the team due to his relations with Hill. We'll have to wait and find out if he's the real deal, or a complete bust. Both players have been signed after a tryout put on by the Inferno last night. Chicago has been looking for defensive help, as Michael Croom is not guarnteed to be playing every game for the Inferno this season. Croom and Ferguson are expected to possibly share time, if one of them doesn't impress and earn the starting role at left defense. ![]() Ron Marini is sketchy to many, due to him dating team owner Victoria Hill Ron Marini, many whom call him "The Goat", a high school nick name that stayed with him throughout his career, is a former goalie in the NHL (National Hockey League), before it was disbanded in 2009, now joins the Chicago Inferno in hopes of capturing a championship somewhat late in his career. "I just really want to get on the winning side of a team. I haven't been lucky enough to stick around a winning team for awhile, so hopefully this works out. And hell, my girlfriends the owner! *laughs*" said the goalie to reporters after accepting the Inferno's 2 year contract offer. The veteran was looking for a four year deal, but the Inferno offered two years, or nothing, and Marini accepted. The Inferno are now hoping to sign a couple more players on the ice, to finally fill out their entire roster spot. Many still believe Kerin Mitchell's return to the Inferno is imminent, but we have yet to hear from the Swede. Mitchell is currently having financial issues. Victoria Hill, she had the qualities he admired, money, boobs and a former stripper. Now- Marini's life was a mess and she was just the one to turn it around. Marini was then placed on the Inferno roster to see if he could actually turn his life around and maybe one day make peace with his kids and be one of the “Greatest of All Time” once again. ![]() (Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room) *The Inferno are starting to get things rolling. They have just finalized signing two more players to contracts, in defensivemen Brandon Ferguson, and Ron Marini. Chad, Eric, and Jordan Charles Jr. all discuss things that are going on around the team.* Chad Fellers: *walking over to Eric and Jordan who are in the middle of a conversation* Eric Follman: *trying to convince Jordan* I'm telling you man, give Justin Beiber a chance. His music is actually pretty damn good. I'll let you borrow his newest CD---*notices Chad* NO JORDAN I don't listen to this ***. Take your CD back *throws CD at Jordan* Wassup Chad??? Chad Fellers: I'm not even gonna ask what was going on here. Anyway, it looks like we've signed two more guys to the team. Supposedly, these guys will arrive in the city tonight. Hopefully they're not douchebags like some of the guys we've got in the past. Eric Follman: *laughs* yeah, like that Lanteri guy. What a douche. Chad Fellers: I just wanted to let you guys know though. So we'll have to start getting things going at practice, and getting some chemistry with these guys before the season starts. But now that practice is over, you guys wanna hit up Harry Carrys downtown with me? I haven't been there in a while, so I thought we'd all go check it out. Maybe call some ladies over there....? Eric Follman: Sure man, I'm always down for the bitches. Lemme get ready. You guys just wanna meet in the parking lot in fifteen? Jordan Charles Jr: Sure man...but what am I gonna do? I'm not even 21 yet? Chad Fellers: Dude, you play for the Inferno. We just won a CUP for this city. They're gonna let you in. Jordan Charles Jr: Sounds good to me. *The guys all head to the team bathroom, which hasn't been cleaned since Victoria Hill became team owner. A lot of things haven't been cleaned since she became owner. Anyway, fifteen mintues go by and the guys all head to the parking lot. They hop in Eric's 2010 Escalade, and head downtown to Harry Carry's bar. The guys head to the bar, and Eric immediately wants service.* Eric Follman: *yelling* Waitress!!! Waitress: *walking up* Yes? Eric Follman: Gimme a Captain on the rocks. And please hurry up. *the waitress hurries and makes the drink, and hands it to Eric* Eric Follman: *drinking his drink* Thanks. It better be good. *sighs* Well guys, this is the times we better enjoy now. Cause once season starts, we gotta focus....*busts up laughing* SIKEEE. Imma be goin out and gettin mine EVERY NIGHT, yo. Chad Fellers: Allllright. That captain must be getting to you already. Eric Follman: DUDE?! Check it out. *comes closer to Chad* You see that guy? Wearing the white suit over there...I know that guy from somewhere....*scratches his head*..where the hell do I know him from?? Hmmm...*it hits him* THATS WHERE. That bastard went to highschool! Jordan Charles Jr: You're tripping man. You're gonna be cut off here in a minute if you don't calm your ass down. Eric Follman: *drinks entire glass of Captain* You're just mad cause you can't even drink. That guy was a douchebag. I'm gonna go give that guy a piece of my mind. *leaves to talk to guy in suit* Chad Fellers: *walking up to Jordan* Guess what? I guess these guys we just signed are gonna be here tonight. Their names are Brandon Ferguson and Ron Marini. *Meanwhile, Eric Follman approaches the man he remembers from high school.* Eric Follman: *clearly drunk, and tapping on the mans shoulder* Hey, guy. . . . . Man in suit: Yes? Eric Follman: *trying to sound like a badass, but slurring his words* What you doin here? Man in suit: Umm, I don't think I know you. But I'm just waiting for my hockey teammates to arrive here. Eric Follman: *sips his drink, and says slowly* Well, you're teams not as good as ours. Man in suit: *smiles* What team do you play for? Eric Follman: You calling me a liar?!?!? *Eric jumps on the guy, too drunk to care about his consequences. The man in the suit quickly takes the upper hand on the fight, as he puts Eric in a chokehold. Chad and Jordan notice whats going on, and head over to the fight. The man in the suit has another friend with him, that also helps calm the fight.* Jordan Charles Jr: *pulling Eric off the man in the suit* dude, I'm tottally sorry. My friend here is hammered, and he thought he knew you from somewhere. *looks at Eric* What the hell do you think you were doing Eric?!? Man in suit: Eric? Eric...Follman? I knew I knew you from somewhere....This is really weird. Chad Fellers: What? How do you know him? Man in suit: I knew Eric back in high school....and I was told to come here tonight by a lady named Victoria Hill. I just got signed to the Chicago Inferno, and believe it or not, *smiles*.....we're your new teammates. *looks at Ron* This is my friend Ron Marini. He also just got signed to the team as well. I'm Brandon. Brandon Ferguson. Jordan Charles Jr: *sighs* Wow, this is crazy. Well.....*laughs* welcome to the team, man. *Chad and Jordan Eric get off the floor. He is practically passed out on the floor. The two drag him to his car, and let him sleep in the back for the rest of the night. They than head inside to catch up with the new guys. Chad and Jordan get along well with the two, but are still a little worried on how Eric will get along with Brandon. Brandon tells the guys about how he used to pick on Eric in high school, as he used to date Erics sister.* Brandon Ferguson: I was always at the kids house. I felt kinda bad because I used to pick on him a lot, even though I was younger than him. He was a late bloomer, if you know what I mean. *everyone laughs* But anyway, I think thats why he jumped on me. He wanted some revenge. But it's good to be here. I think I speak for myself and Ron when I say, this Inferno team should be a fun one this season. (The guys continue to drink together and have a good time. Maybe this year really will be one to remember for the Chicago Inferno.) ![]()
