Jones only gave up 2 sacks and 2 QB hits. Most tackles get pushed back as they are taught to give up ground to a pass rusher. The main issue IMO is Fields couldnt step up in the pocket because the IOL were so bad.

You are asauming rate of success is linear. For example the bust rate for DL in the 2nd is 26%. Bust rate in the 3rd is 27%. So if you were looking for a DL then there ia very little value in trading your 3rd this year for a 2nd next year because you are delaying getting a player for a year...

Players bust and it is more likely that lower drafted players bust at a higher rate so no not always. For example the vast majority of starting QBs are first round picks so no it isnt better to trade down out of the first for example to acquire more draft capital and then draft a 2nd round QB.

Well I would say it depends. I think a team would look at a teams prospects. If I am trading with the Bears I would probably value their 2025 2nd as middle of 3rd as they look much improved. Now if it was the Panthers 2025 2nd then yeah I would value that as top of the 3rd as still expect...

42 is worth 480 points. 75 is worth 210 and if you discount 2025 2nd as being 3rd round pick top of the round then that us 265. So combined 475. But more likely 2nd round pick next year is valued as middle of 3rd round this year so more like 200 so probably need to include our 4th this year...
