Hi there. Myself and my wife will be in Chicago on September 14th and hope to take in the cubs v pirates game. What is the best area of the stadium for 1st timers? We have never been to a baseball game before but I am a soccer fan in the UK so would like to experience the atmosphere of a game in the USA. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Rows 1-6 of the 200 level. First base to third base.

100 levels first base to third base.

Otherwise, if you can get 400 level or rows 1-4 in the 500, that will work too.

Where are you staying?

Nice. You should be able to Uber or take the Red Line to the game. As for bars, there are a bunch around Wrigleyville. Clark street has a bunch of the old ones like Sluggers and Cubby Bear.

If you’re the boozer type, the outfield bleachers are for you. One big ole party out there. And no pole obstructions that can screw up your views good if you get behind one. Be careful.

for the reply. Is there anything in particular we need to be careful for ??? Is it dangerous for out of town visitors?

Nope. Wrigley is a good time venue for all. If you are the extrovert type, you’ll make some great afternoon/evening friends.

I meant to be careful of your ticket location. There are a lot of seats behind poles if you are under the upper deck.

If you attend soccer games in the UK then a Cubs game is going to be an event to behold. No one gets beat up, trampled, or shot.

No one, to my knowledge, has ever been shot at a football match in the UK. If you go looking for it you can certainly get beat up but I guess that can happen anywhere. This is how my team fans celebrate a goal, zoom in to see the guys faces.9A74CEAD-3104-459C-987C-396EBBC7AC67.jpeg

Hi there. We have now decided to go out to wrigley to soak up the atmosphere outside for a hour or so and not go to the game. We didn’t realise the game lasted 3 hours and we need to do other things. Will it be safe to wear my soccer shirt outside the stadium so I can have my picture taken???? Thanks

Pre-game outside Wrigley is a fun atmosphere, lots of people come early and bar hop prior to game time. Wear whatever you like...no worries.
