This is why I really wanted Denver to beat Portland.
Portland's biggest strength (their back court) is also Golden State's biggest strength, but Golden State's back court is much better.
Denver had the best perimeter defense in the NBA this year, and they have Nokic, a big man Golden State wouldn't have been able to match. I still think the Warriors would have won, but it would have been a much more interesting series, especially with KD missing a minimum of 4 games.

This is a nice way to see what they are, Durant carried a huge load during the regular season so their original big 3 have some extra guts in the tank.
I agree 100%...the game is exciting when Dramond and Thompson have to step up, and Curry plays like a more traditional point guard and has to make the offense happen dribbling around and doing impossible things.

Durant is so good the Warriors let him iso or take on double teams and end up watching. Their team ball movement and work of all the little known guys is basketball at its most beautiful.
