Use this to talk about any and all league happenings. Probably more exciting than the Bulls anyway.

It may too early on in the season but did we give up on Mirotic too early or is it just a case of management doing a shitty job of player development. Two games in and he is straight balling.

We did not need another 4 on this team. We need some 2's and 3's.

Nico always had some good games, hot starts, but he is not in the picture here. Pretty sad after all the time and money they invested in him overseas.

I dont know what happens to this team when Laurie comes back. Seems there is no choice butt to force one of them to the 3 or 5

It probably won't -- I lover Butler proclaiming that all he cares about is winning and the destinations he wants to be traded to are Miami, Brooklyn, the Knicks or the Clippers lol.... He was brought to Minnesota to help develop Tonws and Wiggins and has totally shit in everyone's cereal. People forget being a great player (which Butler undoubtedly is), but that doesn't mean you're a leader. You're clearly never going to win an NBA title with Butler leading the way.

To me this shows why the TWolves never went anywhere after Towns showed up. Mental fortitude just isn't there.

[h=1]Houston Rockets offer Wolves four first-round draft picks for Jimmy Butler[/h]
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...-round-draft-picks-jimmy-butler?sf200862023=1

With the current trend of stipulations around draft picks, may be an awful deal. Would love to see the protection clauses on these, because if they are all unprotected, you have a crazy good deal. If they are all hyper protected, what a shitty deal. Because in 4 years, the Rockets can easily be in the top 3 of the lottery. So you snag a few mid rounds, a late pick, and maybe a top 5 pick. Make out like a bandit in Minnesota, where free agents typically don't sign regardless of who is in the front office or coaching the team.

Even with certain protections, the Rockets picks could wind up stacking, and the Wolves could wind up getting multiple top-10 picks.

I think the 76ers win the east now. Great pickup for them.

Before the trade, I thought the 76ers would lose in the 2nd round. After the trade, I think they lose in the conference finals.

We'll see how Jimmy meshes with them. Embiid is a big personality as well, will be curious to see if they get along or not.

Boston has also not played up to their potential thus far. So I agree that the Sixers could still end up not coming out of the East even if Jimmy meshes well.

Curious thought.

Jimmy does enough to get on the East all-star team (considering he is at a disadvantage because of trade, but advantage that this is the east)....
Does that possibly snub Zach for a roster spot? Just imagine that happening.
