I expect DJ, Lee, Carpenter, and JJ to be promoted soon.

Not sure about "JJ", just because they better make him a starter, but then again, they will trade Lilly.

Brett Jackson isn't hitting for much power, it'll probably come as he develop

I think it will come with age as he gets older, same with Castro.

That's what I'm hoping for, when Lilly gets traded. But, I think Z will go back to the rotation.

they should leave gorzo in the rotation and put zambrano back in the pen and leave him there to rot, only pitching when the cubbies are up or down by 9 or more runs.

He'll still find a way to fuck it up.

Here's some additional prospects who have been doing great and should be in or around this year's top 10.

Chris Archer: 7-2, 2.06 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 107 K's, 40 BB's in 100.2 innings. And the best part is he has pitched 28.1 scoreless innings since being promoted from Daytona to Tennessee. Still would like less walks, but he's been much better than he was earlier in his career. Pretty good for a throw-in from the DeRosa deal. He's #3 in my personal rankings right now.

Trey McNutt: Was 7-0 with a 1.51 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 70 K's, 24 BB's in 59.2 innings in Peoria. He's struggled a bit since being promoted, but he still looks like he could be a good 2-3 starter in the future. He's only given up 3 home runs this year and they were all in the same game, so that's also a good sign. He's been a nice surprise, being a 32nd round draft pick. He's #6 in my rankings right now.

Junior Lake: He came over with Castro and has a much higher ceiling than Castro, but a much lower floor. He looked terrible his first couple years but has turned it around lately hitting .296 with 8 homers, 30 RBIs, 19 walks (more than any other season), with a .914 OPS since the start of June. I, along with a lot of others, had lost hope in him, but he still needs to prove this for a longer time. I have him #8 in my rankings right now, but he could be as high as 5 when the season ends.

You sure his ceiling is "much higher" than Castro?

I've heard some scouts and people say that his ceiling is higher than Castro's. I probably should have said his ceilings a bit better than Castro's instead of much. Lake's been considered to have better raw tools than Castro and has been compared to Hanley Ramirez, but I think thats setting the bar too high. I think his ceilings about Hanley Ramirez-lite (less average, similar power, less stolen bases) while Castro's ceiling's a bit better than Edgar Renteria's peak years (.330+ average, 15-20 HR's but with a bit less speed).

That being said, Lake has a much lower chance to reach his ceiling and has a much lower floor, while Castro's looking to possibly pass what his initial ceiling was.

Lake or H-J Lee will end up traded then. I assume that Barney could end up the backup MI in the future.

Lake's been playing a bit 3B lately. Vitters could move to left field or first base.

2015:

SP1: Andrew Cashner
SP2: Jay Jackson
SP3: Randy Wells
SP4: Thomas Diamond
SP5: Dae-Eun Rhee
CL: Carlos Marmol
C: Geovany Soto
1B: Josh Vitters
2B: Hak-Ju Lee (I'm no longer that high on his D, and seeing how hard it is for Castro to learn SS, just keep him there and don't go through the process again with Lee)
SS: Starlin Castro
3B: Junior Lake
LF: Ty Wright (or Alfonso Soriano in the last year of his contract)
CF: Brett Jackson
RF: Tyler Colvin

Now that's a Good team.

Ya I know, isn't is awesome!

No, obviously I know some, if not most, of them will fail, but still, the Cubs can patch that up with FA's once they are ready to compete again.
