Welcome all! In this thread we'll post the Bears top 4 picks from most every reputable mock draft board. Also, if you'd like to post your own mock draft, we can add them here, too!

This is a big project, and takes a lot of time, so please try to keep the chat to NFL and Bears Draft talk only.

Special Thanks to Wakacha, Windy City, Chi66, nwfisch and Rush for helping get this Mock Draft Database together!

Lex's thread got me thinking, maybe we should put this up early this year. I mean, insanely early. Like, now. Mocks are already popping up -- and it would give us some good back-and-forth discussion in a season that ended about 10 wks too early :(. But I'll need some help to do it this year. Just too much damn time put into it...but if it's split up it's not so bad. And it won't be super time-consuming at all until March or so.

Anyone on board w/ helping me out?

For those that weren't here for the draft last year...here's what we did:

I am a bit of a draft nut so I would be happy to help post mock drafts.

I'm all down for this thread, but if the bears select Kendall Wright in the first round I'm going to throw a bitch fit. That guy has nice potential but as versatile or talented as he maybe he's still 5'10 and the Bears need to give Cutler a bigger receiver to throw to.

Thanks Guys...refer to last year's mock draft thread -- and I'll pm you all when I get in tonight to come up w/ a fluid way to update the mocks. Right now, it's only gonna be once every 3 wks/month or so...so no biggie...but once feb. rolls around it'll be a lot more often. March almost has to be checked daily. ugh.

I think you are to focused on size and not on receiving talent

He has a rare burst and play making ability and what really makes me like him is that he makes big plays out of all sorts of routes. He is not simply a deep ball threat, but he scored big touchdowns on drag routes, slants and on simple out cuts.

I also think that his hands and ability to track the deep ball are far above your average college deep threat.

I also like that he had his biggest games on the biggest stages against some good teams.

Kansas State: 201 yards/ 3 TD
OU: 208 yards/ 1 TD
Texas: 166 yards/ 1 TD

I think Kendall Wright could be a Mike Wallace type weapon for a team and I would take him over Jeffery, but I would take Michael Floyd over him.

Its never too early to mock. Especially when i think we all have a good idea of what we have at all of the positions, of course waiting for FA helps. End of week 16, Bears are finished. Yep, sounds like mock time to me. And i agree with whoever said that its nice to have mocks before everybody gets all caught up in combine #s.

Ok - initial post has been updated, the mock draft database is underway, and I want twice as many hits this time as last year.

Can someone pls pin this?

Also, can someone make a small banner for this? Something about 2012 Chicago Bears Mock Draft Database w/ something in the background and something?

Thanks in advance (and thankzies when you post it ;) )

This is what I came up with:
MockDraftDatabase.jpg

I'm pretty average at photoshop, so use this if you get nothing better.
I like that too man! Thanks!

I'll use it when the database fills out a bit and I throw up some articles

1[18] WR Michael Floyd [Notre Dame]

2[49] OG Kelechi Osemele [Iowa St]

3[74] DE Cam Johnson [Virginia]

3[79] RB Bernard Peirce [Temple]

WalterFootball.com: 2012 NFL Mock Draft: First Round Continued

I don't watch college football and sure in the hell never watch Iowa St unless there playing Iowa. But from what others have said I like the first 3 picks and could even get behind a WR in the first round. The only thing I don't like is the second third round pick to me it would be a waste. We have Forte, Bell, Barber(signed through 2012) and FTs pick Allen. I would like to see as go WR or O linemen here won't happen but would love it anyways

I am not a drat nut as you say but this pick is way off to me. Does sound like a JA pick

From what I've seen, he's legit. More insurance than anything else if Briggs holds out and/or grooming him as 'Lach's replacement. Wouldn't be the worst pick...but WR, OL and DB are bigger needs atm.

Walter Football was the only one to make any updates since last posting...

Now that order has been determined, I expect a lot of mocks to update in the next week.
