Favorite All-Time Bears Player: Walter Payton

Favorite Bears Moment: Getting to watch the SB team play at Wembley Stadium, London 1986 in what was called the American Bowl. We played the Cowboys. Won. It hammered down with rain all day but a day that has stuck with me since.

So my Bear background goes as follows. NFL really hit the UK in 1983/4 when I was 11 years old. I never really chose a team in those first years. Listened to games on Forces radio, no live TV action in the UK then, had to wait to the following Sunday to watch back the highlights of the previous weekend. Then the winning roll happened in 1985, loved Mcmahon, Payton, Perry, Gault, Singletary and Ditka. Been a Bear ever since.

My wife back in Oct this year ran the CHI marathon. I got my chance to see Soldier Field for the first time in the flesh with Halas and Payton statues. Very emotional moment. Will be back next year for a game weekend, no doubts.

Finally registered here, after a good while just lurking. Love the chat, debate and learn so much from you all.

Well tbh, he's British and international media wasn't great in the 80s.
