Not to mention the part where he hadn't actually pitched since high school and so they weren't going to break the bank on him anyway.

It was one of those things that was really a non-issue. Kaepernick wasn't going to give up football and the Cubs weren't going to pay him $5MM to give it up on the off chance that he wouldn't suck at baseball.

I'm not high on the Niners. Either the Ravens or Patriots will beat them. Both of those teams are by far a better team.
They're lucky they played teams who have very bad defenses. Also, there defense is overrated. Gave up a lot of yards and points in both of their games.
