If we go 7-9 as expected, we could pick as high as #10 and as low as #20,

depending how the rest of the season plays out for other teams.

But thats the range we are in right now.

IMO we should trade some players for extra picks, don't trade picks for picks, trade players for picks and get some solid young talent in here

OL. WR. CB. S. LB.

And for the love of God, let's re-sign Orton to be a backup.

Gotta admire ORTON ... rejected and dejected after being dumped by 2 teams and Crenell at K.C. sees that he CAN BEAT THE PACKERS !!

You gotta love the ol' neckbeard !

As a backup back on DAA BEARRSSE ... WHY NOT ?

He left us when he was traded with a winning record as a starter.

Probably because someone will sign him to be their starter.

1[18] WR Kendall Wright [Baylor] 5’10” 200lbs.

The recent time with Caleb Hanie at QB has exposed a WR core that cannot make plays and that Jay Cutler was making look better than they are. The Bears have a need for a #1 WR regardless of size. After signing Johnson they have provided Cutler with a bigger target that can jump for the ball and run the fade routes in the end zone. With the selection of Wright the Bears provide themselves with a legitimate professional WR that can get deep and catch the ball. Wright has been compared to Mike Wallace and Santonio Holmes and projects as a deep threat on the edge. Think of Wright as Johnny Knox with great hands and the ability to run more than a go route and the deep comeback. Wright as the deep threat, Johnson as the big body and Bennett working the slot the Bears will have completely revamped a bad WR core in 1 offseason.

WR: Kendall Wright - Baylor
WR: Michael Floyd - ND
OL
RB: Bernard Pierce - Temple or Zach Line - SMU
QB: Chandler Harnish - NIU

Wait til 2013 draft to get Manti Te'o from Notre Dame to replace Urlacher (when he retires).
I have no idea if all of those guys will be available, but it's just a "wish list" I guess you could call it...

I would be fine taking Wright in the first (he will undoubtedly shoot up boards especially with a good combine) but only if we are trading back. I'm assuming we will be picking somewhere between 12-15 and I think that's way too early for him. But if we can trade back to 20-24 and pick up some extra picks I'd be all for it.
