Stoltz said he wasn't because he was active for six games last year.

Don't shoot the messenger but I heard one of the beat guys say Washington looks really good and is working well with the new staff. Beats me if any of that is true or just stroking us.

The guy is dripping with potential. Would love to see him pass up Bass and Scott if he can just hit it off with Pasquolini.

I think we all hope that other than a few guys that would rather be right about him busting than see him be an asset to the team. Would be nice to see something from him or notice him at all.

That would be great news but I'm skeptical. Granted they are just OTA's and only a few are open to media but you would figure if he was looking so good he would be getting more reps with the 3rd an 2nd units.

I would like to see this as well, but Bass has a lot of talent as well.

If we keep 10 Dlineman this is what I would like to see: DE-Allen,Houston,Young,Bass, Washington. DT-Ratliff,Paea,Sutton,Ego,Collins.

What I will never understand about last year was why Bass and Washington didn't get to see more action on the field.

“When we needed a pass rusher to step up, Shea contributed greatly in terms of our overall production," Emery said. "No matter how we shake out the stats as far as the importance of the person on the field to our pass rush, Shea was No. 1." --- Phil Emery, January 3, 2014

I seem to remember Bass playing quite a bit last year.

Washington, on the other hand, not so much...

I never remember seeing him. I see he played in 2 games with one tackle.

What I do not understand, though, is why when our defensive line was so horseshit, why didn't they give those two guys a good look.

Yes.
Maybe they are so good that Emery, using his God given gifts, knew that last season was a lost cause. Rather than let Bass and Washington play more and allow teams to get more tape on them, Emery stashed them away so we can really blow the pants off teams this season.

He should hold Washington back as a secret until the Super Bowl game. Then 'Bam', it's good!
