Every time I've watched the Maple Leafs this year, it feels like I'm back in 2007-08. Because this young Toronto team reminds me of the Hawks team in the first season of the Toews/Kane era. The Leafs are loaded with young talent in Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner and William Nylander (the son of old friend Michael). At times they play at a frenetic pace that other teams can't match and you wonder how they ever lose. But they've also been prone to the growing pains of learning to handle the NHL level -- especially when they get early leads. Tonight's game probably feels like a measuring stick for this up-and-coming team, so the Hawks should be ready for an onslaught. Likely a packed house and a raucous atmosphere at the ACC tonight, too.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

No Hossa tonight. Reports say he got hurt Thursday night. Doesn't sound too serious. You'll be OK, Tater.

Crawford in net, unsure about line combos right now because of Hossa's injury.

He was pretty shakey looking in his play, so I guess he was hurting.

So Jurco is back in the lineups, yaaaay.

I really wish the Hawks would stop with the game times during my tournament time

Toronto can score, but they are lacking in defense. Without looking up the stats...they like their 5-4 games but will go nowhere in the playoffs.

I don't think most Leaf fans were expecting playoffs this year or to even be in the discussion. Our young talent has been a hell of a surprise.

And with Hossa and AA out

We are now only 3 pts behind the Caps and 1 pt behind Columbus.... we could make a run for the President's Cup

In this place has lacked Tbo talk for too long. Crow got an assist on Hartys ot goal making him pass by Tbo for career hawks goalie assists now tied at 6th with Bulin

They tied the franchise road win record, which I think was set in 14-15

They are fighting so hard to get home ice throughout the west playoffs...but the question is...do they need it? I think they play a more complete game on the road.

The only bad thing about the playoffs is no 3 on 3 OT's.

I think that they are just having fun. The chemistry and depth of this team is amazing. Q is pulling all the right strings:)

That's a bad thing?
