I rarely have a problem with Maddon's lineups but this is a weird one considering Lugo's reverse splits. If it works, it works if not you learn something which is what the games before the ASB are all about.

edit: I just saw that despite the reverse splits the lefties in tonight's lineup are 5/11 with 1 HR against Lugo. Makes more sense now.

Lol at Heyward hitting 2nd only because every time a guy gets a little hot he moves them up in order and they cool off again..

I really do hope he can excell there because that would be a perfect spot for him with the OBP

He also does the opposite. When a guy gets cold he puts them at the top, and takes them out when they get hot.

The Cub offense just keeps humming along.

What a well-oiled machine.

In all seriousness..
Cubs tell you they wanted a "new direction "..

I think it started with his comment about Thames, then he was out a few games, then the incident in dugout with Lester..

I just think there was stuff going on inside the clubhouse with him and that why they let him go

Just seems like there are a lot of walks coming under Hickey's watch.

That for sure..
Lead the league with 7 walks to the opposing pitcher

Hard to blame Hickey much for these guys giving up walks, i mean their professional pitchers..
throw the damn ball over the plate
