Almora CF
Heyward RF
Baez 3B
Willson C
Happ 1B
Schwarber LF
Addison SS
LaStella 2b
Lester.

So much for Joe going with the all defensive lineup when Lester is pitching.

I am just happy neither happ or Lastella are playing third.
Surprise Contreras is starting but tgen again Lester pitching.....so

Only thing in the lineup I would change would be Zobrist in for LaStella....Zobie has done well this series and Matz is a lefty which negates LaStella a bit. Also glad to see Bryant getting a day or two...he has looked a bit off lately.

Wanted to look back at Baez home run. He hit a 100 MPH fastball chest high. LOL That bat speed

It's interesting to me that they paired him a bit with Manny. Feel like he'd be better paired with Vlady. Baez strikes me as the type of guy like Vlady who could homer on a ball that bounces to the plate.

Happ making sure he doesn’t get doubled off on a foul ball.

They’ve won the series, the game is gravy so they’re experimenting with their best pitcher on the mound and getting two of the key players 2 full days of rest. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this lineup. Oh, and they still have a chance to win the game.

The season standings are based on stroke play, not match play.

Gee, who could have expected a bunt with Lester batting and a man on 3rd?

Hey, MLB Network: Hope the game is not interfering with this extremely long and extremely untimely interview/recruiting video with UConn’s bball coach!

Hmm... per the online Gameday listing, Baez and LaStella have switched between 3B and 2B 11 times so far today. No one seems to be mentioning it on the Chicago radio broadcast. (It's not possible to get our TV broadcast via the Extra Innings package, some shithead running the panels is feeding the MASN into the Cubs' home broadcast slot, which is running fucking rain postponement content, since their Orioles game was postponed. I really fucking hate the fact that the people who run the panels for the Extra Innings package are completely insulated from any feedback, or reports that they're fucking up. I work for a major cable provider, so I *know* they do not allow any type of reporting back to them. Fuckers.)

And, hey -- running ourselvs into some runs, here! Been a while since I saw someone steal home -- and then, it was Javy, as well. Kewl!

And here's hoping Addi isn't out long with that finger contusion...

Steal of home for one run.

2nd run scores on popup to 2nd with catcher running.

Two men out on basepaths early. Made up for it for sure in that inning.

I sure hope after these last 10 games and in June now, that this team is ready to go forward and start winning consistently now...

6 game homestand before facing the Brewers again for 3..
Be nice to end that series in first

OT: can’t help myself. Jon Jay has homered, ending the longest streak without a HR by a nonpitcher. July 5, 2017.

9th since 2014.
