Lackey vs. Lester tonight!

We need to get a W. We need to finish strong before the break. The Pirates just lost Josh Harrison for 6 weeks or so.

Maddon has changed the lineup for the better.

Coughlan
Rizzo
Bryant
Montero
Castro
Soler
Fowler
Lester
Russell

This is by far the best lineup Lester has had all year with no Ross in there. Lets take advantage.

It's about time. Cogs did a nice job in the one slot last year...takes pitches and generally makes contact. I'm interested in seeing how Lester pitches with Montero catching him. If he does real well, will it be enough to keep his "caddie" on the bench?

Bryant makes the all star team as Stanton's replacement.

Anthony Rizzo also made it and old DJ Lemahieu made it.

I think they are going to use Ross pretty liberally regardless. Montero has had some injury issues the past several years so you're probably not going to want to over use him.

If ever the Cubs were to win nine straight, this would be the time!

Cubs will score six tonight, which will match ( or better) their output in the series in St. Louis.

Here we go with Lester being a mental midget about throwing to first. Holy shit. I have never seen a lead like that in my life and he still wouldn't throw over there

I get the ESPN broadcast and it was the same thing

With good reason though, Lester can't be giving guys leads like that. Essentially making any single a double if your gonna let them run

Two very hard hit balls off of Lackey, that's a good sign

ESPN talking about how incredible the STL fans are. I'd rather hear them talk about throwing to 1st
