Javy blew a great opportunity to put a run on the board before the rain came down..

Love Javy, needed to be patience there and look for a pitch to drive

Disagree. 10.3%/44.8%/44.8% soft/med/hard contact this year vs 16.8%/43.0%/40.2% last year. That's not including today but you get the point. Also .231 BABIP isn't sustainable. 79.8% contact vs 72.0% last year. Not saying he's fully there to where he needs to be but those are encouraging signs.

He's streaky. He was last year too. He was a main piece of getting the Cubs thru the summer last year.

Of course you do..lol
Youd probably say the same for Davis in Baltimore ?

Thing is so far this year he has struck out 1/3 of his ABs and does it really matter how hard he hitting the ball if he hitting them at someone in the shift..

I'm not saying his numbers wont all of a sudden start improving, but were seeing now what weve basically been seein the last few years from him..
He'll hit a couple bombs and then look awful for a few games, couple bombs look awful, repeat repeat repeat....

This is what he is

Actually he was fantastic from Mid July through the end of the season in . 2018, and if you took his four worst starts last year his numbers were right in line with his career stats. Last night was something though. Some of the best movement we've seen from him in a long time and when that curve is on it's absolutely nasty.

He said it had a lot to do with the game Caritiani called. He was just following his lead

That hand injury really sucks because he was starting to show plus talent as a catcher

Davis is k'ing at a 45.5% clip not 29.2% and if you ignore the past 2 two games schwarber was under 20%. That's the thing about small sample sizes... Davis also has a 60.7% contact rate. That's down from his career 67.6% rate which is both worse than schwarber's career rate and down rather than up which Schwarber is showing. As such using him to prop up your argument is fairly irrelevant.
