His career numbers are .267/.362/.415 so this run is simply regression to the mean. He was likely never going to be that bad for a whole season. He's now at .243/.332/.379 so he's not far from his normal performance.

I preached from the high heavens like moses that his numbers weren't really lower than career norms in bad categories. His BABIP was down which is more a "luck" thing.

I know you did, so did I. People gave up on him just as he was turning the corner which was silly. He's 29 years old and is what he is, he was never going to be that bad.
