Watching a guy like Andrew Miller and having Wade Davis a year ago makes me think that Tyler Chatwood could be a lights out closer.

Heyward doesn't bother me. He put the ball in play vs one of the best closers in baseball. Miller is gonna get a lot of weak contact but at least you give yourself a chance with a ball in play. Other two PAs really hurt not just because their individual outcome but they came with 0 and 1 out respectively.

Should of pinched hit with Zobrist for Heyward there...

I frankly don't think it would have mattered. I'd rather have seen Zobrist for Russell. And yeah I get the LHP vs LH batter match up with regard to Heyward like I said, he put the ball in play. It was a 2 strike swing on a ball in the zone. Sure you'd like to make better contact than that but there's not much more Miller has been giving anyone. Not like he left a meatball up there for Heyward. Both the pitches Heyward fouled off were in the zone as well.

Point I was making about them and their runs scored...

Last 4 series

10 runs in 5 games against Braves Indians

50 runs in 7 games against Whitesox and Reds

Avg 5 runs per but only a 6 and 6 record

If they lose 1- 0 tonight

Cubs now 4 back of Brewers in 4th place...

Maybe they can beat the Giants, gonna be tough though..

2 lefties and all 3 pitchers have ERA in 4s
