Same old song and dance... Did anyone really miss this?

He beat this topic to death before he disappeared. I’m not a fan of redundancy. At least he didn’t refer to the team as the Baerz which must have been a test of his will.

This is a great example of why you suck!

OMG ...... Trolls Unite! Can't wait for this shiznet to unfold ..... :smh:

Was this whole thread supposed to be in green font?

Is this the Rush we want? Or do we want to talk about Football?

Holy crap! That is a lot of off topic posts... aren't these the same posters that whine and complain about off topic posting?

Elite use of the multi quote function btw.

LOL......Your'e late. I expected this 2 minutes after you guy's were unbanned. I know you really have your issues with Long but it almost seems personal. Did he kick your ass at Fortnight? Block you from his twitter?

Just curious.
Welcome Back

That's great you don't hold players accountable for their availability. NFL coaches and GMs don't hold that same philosophy.

Players lose jobs to injuries and inefficiency all the time. It happens on almost every team every year.

Long is not the same player he was in 2015. Period. If you have any knowledge at all of linemen play, and watch the game with your eyes, it's very apparent he is struggling. Again.

It's time to stop living in the past.

Extremely unlikely with the way his contract is structured, unless he was traded for peanuts.

I know the monetary side of football escapes most people here, but he is a prime cut candidate this offseason. It would result in only 3m dead cap... his salary is ridiculous for 1) a right guard, and 2) what the bears have gotten in return.

Dont think we watched the same game..

I dont think you understand the lack of significance RG holds in pass protection.

It's partially why Kyle Long is playing on the right side..

Wait wait.......my feelings are hurt. You ignored me and I was being nice.

So you'd take nothing and a three million cap hit over a bag of peanuts and a three million cap hit? Asking for a friend.

Miss what? Actual realistic conversation about the Bears? Yes, it was sorely missed for several months.

You really have to be joking.

Ok, Kyle Long sucks. He’s a moron that sits on Twitter all day when he’s not playing video games. Man, it sure feels good to have a real conversation about the Bears because it hasn’t happened around here for months.

Green font implied...

I have no idea what your beef is with me... this is the first kyle long thread I've made in a year.

Do you think out of our starting 5 linemen that Long isnt the weakest link at this point? I think the only argument that can be made is for/against Massie imo. But why would we even talk about Massie? He's a UFA after this season and has been making a portion of what Long is... At tackle, a premium position.... Salary cap management is going to be an issue next season, and an even bigger issue the season after if we end up having to pay Trubisky. The Mack trade changed everything. How can you deem this topic unimportant?

I think most people realize Massie is gone after this season.

I dont think most people realize that Long will be following.

The sooner Daniels sees the field this season, the better the Bears will be off next year going forward.

I’m sure you’re a great guy and I certainly wouldn’t consider not enjoying the bits that you perform here a beef with you. You might be right and Long could very well be gone next year but he’s definitely not the weak link on an offensive line that runs out Eric Kush at LG.

It was (sorta) a joke :assman:

Why do you suppose Long is on the right side and Kush is on the left? It's common place to put the superior talent on the QB's blindside.

We dont have the bum shoulder to blame like we did last year... I think...

I also think you'll be happy we do have Kush, as well as drafted Daniels, come mid season.. Just my prediction.

I’m thrilled they drafted Daniels and have no issue with Kush in a back up role.

The only way Long is a Bear next season is if he takes a pay cut during a restructuring of his deal. The Bears are gonna need cap room in the offseason to fill out the roster and Long is one of the few big contracts that can be jettisoned with little dead money associated with it.
