I just never thought he was that great. Loved Cream but never was wowed by Baker.

Bonham's drumming was more influenced by R&B, Motown, Stax, and drummers like Bernard Purdie. Great touch on the back beat, using space well, and those bass drum triplets. More of a groove and shuffle drummer. Baker was more influenced by jazz, and guys like Max Roach, and Elvin Jones. Busier, more poly-rhythmic, and taking on more than just the roll of rhythm. More of a swing drummer than a groove drummer. Nothing to compare really, except they both were influential playing heavy rock, in very different styles.

For some reason Bonzo’s drumming just moves me more. They are all amazing drummers. The one thing I wished I could do is play the drums.

Achilles Last Stand is the root of most Iron Maiden songs. That is all.

You need cooling
Baby I'm not fooling
I'm gonna send ya
Back to schooling
A-way down inside
A-honey you need it
I'm gonna give you my love
I'm gonna give you my love
Want to whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
You've been learning
Um baby I been learning
All them good times baby, baby
I've been year-yearning
A-way, way down inside
A-honey you need-ah
I'm gonna give you my love, ah
I'm gonna give you my love, ah oh
Whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
Want to whole lotta love
You've been cooling
And baby I've been drooling
All the good times, baby
I've been misusing
A-way, way down inside
I'm gonna give ya my love
I'm gonna give ya every inch of my love
I'm gonna give ya my love
Hey!…

Cringeworthy.........And sung by a singer that reminds what a cat in heat might sound like if it had a broken hip...........

What makes Zep cool is you can listen to them in any situation. I banged the shit outta a fine piece of drunken ass in college to this song. It was awesome. And not in a planned rape, Omelet style awesome.

Never thought of Bohnam as a hard hitter but he was a very good drummer in my opinion. Love Peart as well. Rush and Foghat was my very first concert. I also think Bill Ward is underrated as a rock drummer

Nice. My first concert was Rush, the Hemispheres tour. ****Mind blown*****.

And you are too poor and lonely to be arrogant and condescending, yet that doesn't seem to slow you down.

Achilles is prob my all-time favorite LZ song.

I saw Maiden on their first two US tours, IIRC I saw them open for (and blow away) Judas Priest at Alpine or Poplar Creek, can't quite recall.

It’s like listening to a movie, sounds weird. Lotta great memories at alpine valley. Lotta great concerts.
